Nicolas Cage or rapper? What? We'll explain... Nick Hipa, the current guitarist of Wovenwar, the band formed out of the ashes of As I Lay Dying following Tim Lambesis' prison sentence, just made an appearance on comedian Billy Eichner's TV show, Billy on the Street. In the segment (video above) Hipa and his fiancé Mariah battled each other in a goofy game of pop culture trivia.

The game, Nic Cage or Rapper?, is a contest to see which person can discern whether the name Eichner throws out is the name of a rapper or a character actor Nicolas Cage has portrayed in a movie. Nick and Mariah are each given buzzers and Eichner fields the answer from the first one to buzz in. His eccentric personality is at the heart of the skit, giving the game more life than any other host could. While shouting out names like "Tyga," "Johnny Blaze," "Gucci Mane" and more, Eichner raises the intensity, shoving Hipa aside for answering without being directed to before dramatically pulling him back into the shot.

Hipa confirmed the news when contacted by Metal Insider, who happened upon the footage, tweeting back that he participated in the show while walking through Hollywood before a Van Halen concert.

Wovenwar released their self-titled debut album in 2014, essentially as an extension of As I Lay Dying while the band is in limbo. The record reached No. 36 on the Billboard 200, featuring Oh, Sleeper's Shane Blay on vocals for the group. Singles from Wovenwar included "Death to Rights" and "Archers."
