World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor’s First Zone Revealed

Be ready for blood and thunder as you take on the Iron Horde and explore World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor's first new zone.

Blizzard has unveiled the first zone its level 90 characters will enter upon the release of World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor. Warlords will send you to the Draenor of the past, long before the planet was ravaged by the creation of the multiple Dark Portals which caused it to become the Outland as we know it in the Burning Crusade expansion. This first zone, Tanaan, is filled with jungles and forests, and is where the Iron Horde has rallied its forces to attack Azeroth. Your character will join both Vol'jin's Horde and the Alliance in trying to stop Kilrogg Deadeye from sending his armies into the Dark Portal.

Fans should recognize other famous orc leaders of the past, such as Grommash Hellscream and Kargath Bladefist in these areas, who won't be happy to see outsiders trying to throw a monkey wrench into the plans of the Iron Horde. You will have the assistance of Thrall, Vindicator Maraad and returning favorites Khadgar and Gul'dan in dealing with the overwhelming, united forces of old Draenor.

The harsh, primordial Tanaan Jungle will be the first battlefield against Garrosh Hellscream when World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor launches later this fall for PC.
