A new report indicates demos downloaded to the Wii U only have a limited number of uses for all users on the console.

While Nintendo already limits the number of uses for a given demo on the Wii U (and the Nintendo 3DS as well), it wasn't explicitly stated anywhere how the demo plays would be tracked. According to My Nintendo News, if you download a demo for a game like Rayman Legends, the Wii U counts every single play regardless of the user before the trial expires.

Consoles like the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 don't limit the amount of demo plays a user can enjoy, and previously it was possible to redownload demos on the 3DS to restart the counter. Unfortunately, that loophole appears to have been fixed for the Wii U.

What do you think of the news? Are you disappointed to learn how Nintendo tracks its demos?
