It's official: after Donald Trump's resounding Super Tuesday wins followed by more on Super Saturday, the GOP's done lost it's damn mind.

How could this happen to the party of Lincoln? Of Reagan? Of Nixo...umm, never mind.

Trump snuck up on a party led by politicians who didn't take him seriously. But what they didn't count on was that nobody takes politicians seriously.

As for The Donald, don't kid yourself. His whole candidacy is a cynical grab for power and the world's attention.

A self-promotion magnate and sometimes developer who's appealing directly to a group of people he doesn't really care about but knows that after eight years of a liberal (and black) president are so worked up they can get him the Republican nomination? Yep.

But how can all this be put in perspective? In these complicated times, I've found that things are usually explained best by going back to a classic era of American music. Kind of like what Donald Trump is trying to do. But classier. Much classier.

It's time to Say It With Sinatra. It'll be y'uge.
