Indie game studio Waves and Blaze have their work cut out for them with their upcoming game The Visitor: Dark Space Chronicles. But that's to be expected, since they are diving into a genre that's usually the realm of bigger studios. From Dead Space, to F.E.A.R., to System Shock, the space/horror genre is not something that many associate with small indie game developers.

But rather than focus on big action, Waves and Blaze instead want to focus on putting adventure elements into The Visitor. Players begin the game after landing on an abandoned space station. Not exactly the friendliest place in the world. It's not long before the player discovers that the station isn't as abandoned as they hoped it would be.

Further investigation will lead to clues as to what happened to the crew and what they were up to in the first place. In terms of gameplay, you will be able to upgrade your character to be either proficient in fighting or stealth.

If the main character, based what's shown in the trailer, happens to be female, we are kind of excited at the idea of recreating some of that classic, claustrophobic terror that poor 'ol Ripley had to endure in the first Alien movie.

As of now, there is no official date for a release of this game. But we'll be sure to let you know when it's headed on its way to the App Store.

In the meantime, check out the trailer below:
