Watch Jimmy Fallon and Channing Tatum Try out Project Morpheus

The new host of ‘The Tonight Show’ and Marvel’s would-be Gambit show off the first-ever two-player demonstration of Sony’s upcoming virtual reality headset, Project Morpheus.

While we were anticipating Project Morpheus to play a major role during Sony’s E3 presentation, we weren’t expecting to see it on last night’s episode of ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.’ What is even more surprising is that Channing Tatum was one of the first people to ever try out the VR headset on broadcast television alongside Fallon. Jay Leno’s replacement and Mr. ‘G.I. Joe’ were guided by tech guru Joshua Topolsky in the first two-player demonstration of Project Morpheus, and while things were a bit shaky, we were still very impressed by what we saw.

After Channing Tatum and Jimmy Fallon each put on a Project Morpheus headset, they were given two PlayStation Moves each. It took a minute or two of adjustment to the first-person perspective, but Fallon quickly started using the PlayStation peripherals to start punching a training dummy while Tatum was trying to shoot both the dummy and Fallon’s character with a crossbow. After a few minutes of practice, a giant dragon appeared on the training grounds and the demo was over.

Based on this video, there are plenty of things to be fixed with Project Morpheus, but we are sure that its gameplay will become much smoother in the long run. We can’t wait to see what Sony is going to announce in regards to its upcoming VR headset next week at E3.
