Volbeat Unveil Spring 2014 U.S. Tour Dates With Trivium + Digital Summer

Charles Epting for Loudwire

Volbeat will be making the rounds Stateside again this spring, as the band has just announced a month-plus tour with Trivium and Digital Summer.

The trek launches April 3 in Denver and will take the bands from coast-to-coast before winding down May 9 in Hampton Beach, N.H. This marks the group’s fourth tour of North America supporting their highly successful ‘Outlaw Gentlemen and Shady Ladies’ album.

The disc has already yielded the singles ‘Cape of Our Hero,’ ‘The Hangman’s Body Count,’ ‘Lola Montez’ and ‘Lonesome Rider,’ and the group also earned a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance for their collaboration with King Diamond on ‘Room 24.’ The group will find out if they win the Grammy this Sunday night (Jan. 26).

As for the support bands, Trivium are backing their David Draiman-produced ‘Vengeance Falls’ album. The disc has started gaining traction with the single ‘Strife,’ while ‘Brave the Storm’ and ‘No Way to Heal’ have also garnered attention. Digital Summer, meanwhile, released ‘After Hours: Unplugged and Rewired’ in 2013. The collection was their first acoustic album, reworking material from their three previous studio sets.
