Volbeat are making the most of their recent momentum in the U.S. and they plan to keep the ball rolling by extending their North American run to include a whole new slew of May performances.

The band is mixing in a number of festival appearances with their headlining run. For the upcoming shows that are their own, All That Remains and Eye Empire will join Danish rockers as support, giving fans a full rock bill that includes three charting acts.

Frontman Michael Poulsen recently spoke to Full Metal Jackie about the band's extensive tour schedule, explaining, "We have a really tight schedule but we are so happy to have that because that means that we got work to do. It also means that our people out there appreciate what we’re doing so having a tight schedule is not something you should complain about, it just means there are people out there who care."

Volbeat had the luxury of going deep on their 2010 album, 'Beyond Hell / Above Heaven,' which left them little lag time between when their support of the last album concluded and when promotion of their recently released 'Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies' disc began.

The latest leg of dates kicks off May 1 in Boston and continues through the band's Rock on the Range performance in Columbus, Ohio on May 19.
