Joey Jordison recently teased that his new project Vimic would become more active toward the end of 2016 and definitely would be present in a big way in 2017. Though three U.S. dates were announced for the period just after Christmas, Vimic decided to give fans a taste of what they can expect live with a special two-song Facebook Live performance.

The band finds Jordison on drums, with singer Kalen Chase leading the way, playing alongside Joey's fellow Scar the Martyr bandmates Jed Simon (guitar), Kyle Konkiel (bass) and Matthew Tarach (keys). The group released a couple of songs earlier this year to whet the appetite of fans and are said to be working on a new full-length album for 2017.

During their Facebook Live performance, the guys took on the songs "I Fear the Worst" and "Simple Skeletons." Take a look at the performance in the player below.

It's been an interesting few years for Jordison as he was surprisingly replaced in Slipknot prior to the release of the band's .5: The Gray Chapter, honoring the late Paul Gray. Neither side went into much detail about the split, with Jay Weinberg inheriting Jordison's spot behind the kit. However, earlier this year, Jordison revealed that he had been struggling with acute transverse myelitis, a neurological condition that briefly led to the drummer losing the use of his legs. After months of rehab and regaining his strength, the rocker is once again behind the kit with Vimic.

As stated, Vimic will play three late-year shows, making stops in Des Moines (Dec. 26, Wooly's), Janesville, Wis. (Dec. 27, The Back Bar) and Chicago (Dec. 28, Bottom Lounge) before starting their 2017 touring.
