You know what makes America great? The fact that we don't allow mob rule. The fact that we stand up for the little guy. The fact that we support someone's right to unpopular opinions. The U.S. government has clear laws that make sure one group does not bully another.

Across America, politicians have made transgender bathrooms an issue. Once again they aren't selling inclusion, they are selling a right to discriminate.

The U.S. government is now stepping in to say that schools receiving federal funding cannot discriminate against students based on their sex. This has been proven time and time again under Title IX, and it does include transgender status.

The people who narrowly define transgender issues as "a boy is a boy and a girl is a girl" lack knowledge and experience. You'll notice like most issues of this type, the loudest screaming comes from the most rural places. You'll notice that objections come from religious organizations (who have NO business in politics in the first place). You'll notice that these objections come from people of an uneducated and unworldly nature.

People who object to these laws lack not only understanding, but empathy. They somehow think these minor, almost completely imperceivable changes will upset their life. It's a narcissistic attitude for sure. You share this world with many other people, and in the U.S. we believe in liberty and justice for all.

I'm sure there will be an uproar from the right-wing and the uneducated that this is overstepping. They will use the same old arguments that they used in the past against gays, blacks and even women. They will claim "common sense" when "common sense" shows that we've been sharing bathrooms with these people forever without incident.

This is going to happen. Citing Title IX makes it 100 percent certain. Even more so, the big businesses' support for it across America will make it happen. If it bothers you, you may put your kids in a private school, but this Federal Guidance for schools will grow acceptance from the ground up.
