TripAdvisor Reveals Top 10 Best States for BBQ in America and Texas is Not At the Top
The worlds leading travel site, TripAdvisor has just revealed the top 10 states for BBQ in America. And, surprisingly, Texas is not the top state.
Yep, you read that right. Texas is not the top state for BBQ. But, according to the list provided by TripAdvisor, the best BBQ restaurant in America is in Austin, Texas. So, how can we have the best BBQ joint, but not be the be the best state for it?

The TripAdvisor ranking of top U.S. states for barbecue is based on the average rating and total number of reviews for BBQ restaurants, (giving more weight to reviews in the past 12 months), as well as the total number and percentage of restaurants in each state that are classified as BBQ (giving more weight to those with a minimum of 100 reviews). Whatever, I think the list is rigged. In my opinion, there is really no better place for BBQ than the place that practically invented BBQ - Texas.
