Going in to the final race of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Tony Stewart trailed Carl Edwards by 3 Chase points.

Along with a series of rain delays, Tony Stewart and Carl Edwards provided the crowd in Miami one of the most spectacular races in NASCAR history. Carl Edwards dominated the race while Tony Stewart was fighting back from an early issue with grill damage. However, the most important lap to lead is the last lap and that's what Tony Stewart did. With about 40 laps left, Stewart took the lead and didn't look back. Edwards fought hard to keep within a second of "Smoke" (Stewart's nickname) but that fight wasn't enough.

The win was Stewart's 3rd career Sprint Cup Championship.

This win also ended Jimmie Johnson's reign as NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion.

As a fan of motor sports, I can honestly say this was one of the greatest races I have ever seen.
