Tom Morello has enlisted the help of Ben Harper in what is a super team-up of epic political rock proportions. The duo have released a music video for Morello’s the Nightwatchman project for the song ‘Save the Hammer for the Man.’

Morello has been leading peaceful rallies at various places across the country, including Occupy L.A., Occupy Wall Street and Occupy SXSW in Austin, Texas. The Rage Against the Machine guitarist made a great call when he tapped Californian Harper for ‘Save the Hammer for the Man.’ The video shows the two performing the song interspersed with footage of them attending various public gatherings.

‘Save the Hammer for the Man’ is from the fourth Nightwatchman studio album, ‘World Wide Rebel Songs.’ The record was released last August through New West Records. Watch Morello and Harper perform the song live on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ here.

Harper made another guest appearance, this time on Jack Johnson’s ‘Best of Kokua Festival’ collection that was released last month. A five-part radio special was also created to chronicle the Hawaiian festival, which ran from 2004 to 2008 and again in 2010. Harper will make several festival appearances around the world starting on May 26 in Tenerife, Canaries, Spain. View his whole road schedule here.
