Love him or hate him, Tom Brady isn't afraid to poke fun at himself.

The New England Patriots quarterback stars in a new commercial for Foot Locker, in which he makes fun of what Foot Locker calls "unfair punishments," a not-so-subtle nod to his four-game ban at the beginning of this season for his role in the Deflategate saga.

An increasingly belligerent Tom Terrific overhears two guys in a restaurant talking about the sporting goods' chain's Week of Greatness and launches into a diatribe that starts with him saying, "Just because something is great year after year doesn't mean anything is going on. Why can't some things just be great?" He eventually gets so worked up he walks out.

Brady has shown a sense of humor as a pitchman on the small screen before. In October, he went for laughs when he showed off his Super Bowl rings in an ad for a health care company.

Of course, he's not always comfortable when the cameras rolling. Last week, he tried to move the spotlight off himself when Donald Trump told a crowd the future hall of famer had voted for him prior to the presidential election.

Whatever the case, it looks like this spot for Foot Locker is blowing up more than the ideally-weighted balls he likes to throw.
