Tim Lambesis’ Austrian Death Machine Finishing Up New Album

While As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis faces murder-for-hire charges, the release of his Austrian Death Machine project's third album ‘Triple Brutal’ is still very much in the works. In fact, it's actually nearing completion.

The band posted the following message on Facebook: "We booked mastering time this week to make the official CD with track markers and all! Now on to discussions about who will manufacture 'Triple Brutal' so we can get it to those of you who have been waiting. As said before, we are sorry for the delay and appreciate the understanding given the major recent events."

Austrian Death Machine raised $78,000 via Indiegogo to fund the album. In the comments to the above post, some fans who contributed wondered when they would be getting their perks, especially with the band's uncertain future. The band posted that when they know more about what's going on legally, they'll be able to make a general statement about it.

Meanwhile, a Facebook post on As I Lay Dying's page stirred up some controversy over the weekend. The post and a couple of follow-ups have been taken down, but were archived by Metal Injection. After months of no posting in wake of Lambesis' legal issues, a random post popped up on AILD's Facebook site about a guitar for sale that was supposedly used to record a song on the album 'An Ocean Between Us.'

The band's guitarist Phil Sgrosso responded via his Facebook account, calling the post "ridiculous." He later posted the following to clarify: "I'd just like to share what my ultimate issue was yesterday regarding the guitar post on the band FB... With all that is going on with the band and the curiosity from the fans/general public on the future of AILD, a post is made on selling a guitar? I felt it was very insensitive considering all the recent life changing events that have happened. I'm sorry for involving fans in the petty band drama, I just felt like I had to express that I wasn't cool with it."

Lambesis is scheduled to be back in court on Sept. 16 for a preliminary hearing in his murder-for-hire trial. The metal frontman is accused of trying to hire a hitman to kill his estranged wife.
