The Veils, ‘Dancing With The Tornado’ – Free MP3 Download

Post-punk desert folk the Veils bring us 'Dancing With the Tornado' just before they unveil (no pun intended) their first full-length album in four years.

While the Veils' songs have an undeniable Southwest singer-songwriter spirit living within them, it must have been the equally apparent punk shell that caught the ear of famed producer Bill Price (the Clash, Jesus and Mary Chain). Price took a hiatus from his record industry-hiatus, revisiting the knobs one more (last?) time to mix 'Time Stays, We Go' to tape, affording the twangy Against Me!-meets-Jack White-esque album a depth it might not have felt otherwise.

"'Dancing With The Tornado' was written in one sitting on a guitar with three strings," frontman Finn Andrews told Diffuser. "It's about this girl I used to know who would often wake up on the roof of her house with no idea how she got there. She used to say she'd probably been out dancing with tornadoes."

The galloping single should tide you over until the rest of the album drops worldwide on April 23.
