Ugly Christmas sweaters are almost as much a part of the holiday season as chestnut roasting on an open fire, so why not turn the trend into a few extra bucks in your pocket?

That's what Jeremy Turner is trying to do. He owns The Ugly Christmas Sweater Shop in Dallas, a seasonal operation that sells is -- you guessed it -- ugly sweaters. Turner, hoping to cash in with people who've been invited to ugly sweater parties, sums it up the idea behind his business by saying, "The tackier the better."

The store will close up for the season on Christmas Day, at which point you'd be wise to toss your sweater into the bowels of your closet amidst the mothballs until next year.
