The Darkness Debut New Single ‘Everybody Have a Good Time’

The Darkness made their triumphant return earlier this year with the song ‘Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us’ after a seven-year hiatus, but that was just a precursor to the fun that they had in store.

With their new disc ‘Hot Cakes’ due out on Aug. 21, the English glam-rockers recently debuted the first official single, aptly titled ‘Everybody Have a Good Time.’

The song, which can be heard in its entirety over on Spin.com, delivers a retro, rocking anthem bedazzled with big sing-a-long choruses and just enough guitar solos. The song is available for purchase starting today (June 26) at iTunes.

The official video for ‘Everybody Have a Good Time’ will make its debut on Thursday (June 28) but leading up to it, the band has offered up a first glance at the making of the video. The short clip shows a bikini clad dancing costumed bear at a business meeting mixed in with performance clips of the band – you know, everything you’d expect from The Darkness.

As they gear up for the release of their latest disc, the Darkness will be joining Lady Gaga on her ‘Born This Way Ball’ world tour.
