The Dallas Mavericks and Oklahoma City Thunder Roll to Wins – The Sports Report 1/15/13

The Dallas Mavericks haven’t had an easy season, but they had an easy time with the Minnesota Timberwolves last night. The Oklahoma City Thunder got a huge game Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook in their 12 point win over Phoenix. We’ve got those scores and more on this round of The Sports Report.


WASHINGTON 120 – Orlando 91… The Wizards blew out the Magic for their third straight win. Emeka Okafor scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Washington had five other players score in double figures.

BOSTON 100 – Charlotte 89… Rajon Rondo put up 17 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds in his third triple-double of the season and the Celtics took care of the Bobcats. Paul Pierce scored a game-high 19 points for Boston. Kevin Garnett also had 10 rebounds.

CHICAGO 97 – Atlanta 58… The Bulls held the Hawks to a franchise-low 20 points in the first half and coasted to the victory. Carlos Boozer scored 20 points and brought down 13 rebounds. Joakim Noah had 16 boards.

L.A. Clippers 99 – MEMPHIS 73… A Clipper team playing without Chris Paul destroyed a Grizzlies team that was without Rudy Gay. Jamal Crawford and Matt Barnes came off the bench to score 16 points apiece for L.A.

DALLAS 113 – Minnesota 98… Darren Collison scored 23 points to lead six players in double figures as the Mavericks handled the Timberwolves. O.J. Mayo and Elton Brand added 20 points apiece for Dallas.

Oklahoma City 102 – PHOENIX 90… The Thunder got 41 points from Kevin Durant and 36 points from Russell Westbrook in outscoring the Suns. Kendrick Perkins pulled down 13 boards but was held scoreless.

UTAH 104 – Miami 97… The Jazz recovered to beat the Heat after nearly blowing a 21-point lead. Al Jefferson powered his way to 23 points and 11 rebounds. Gordon Hayward added 22 points.

SACRAMENTO 124 – Cleveland 118… DeMarcus Cousins scored 26 points and collected 14 rebounds in helping the Kings down the Cavaliers and snap a four-game skid. Marcus Thornton added 20 points off the bench.
