The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) just revealed that as of mid-January, the flu has officially reached the “epidemic” status in America. The report states that "the flu vaccine is only about 60 percent effective, so for every one million Americans that get the flu shot, 400,000 come down with the flu." That means 40% of those people vaccinated are spreading the disease, raising the likelihood of a more serious epidemic.

A 40 percent post-vaccination infection rate raises this serious question posed by noted health researcher and author, Dr. Cass Ingram:

“Could the flu vaccine be fueling an influenza epidemic? For years those skeptical of the flu vaccinations have maintained that not only is the vaccine ineffective in preventing infection, but receiving a vaccination actually increases the likelihood of an influenza infection.”

Dr. Ingram's book 'Natural Cures for Killer Germs' cites a CNN poll which determined that people who were vaccinated are:

"twice as likely to develop the flu as those who avoided the vaccine all together."

Dr. Ingram states that being infected with the flu after being vaccinated is not the only health danger posed by the flu vaccination process. The manufacturers of the vaccine admit:

"there's a risk that the vaccine recipient will spread the live flu virus to others in close contact at home or at work".

I still say "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" so go ahead and get your flu shot. Why take any chances? Roll up your sleeve and put your best arm forward. But if you start feeling sickly after getting the flu shot, steer clear of public places.
