New York City punks The Casualties are back with Written in Blood, their 11th studio album and first since 2016's Chaos Sound. The record will be out October 26 through Cleopatra Records and the group has partnered with Loudwire to bring you the video for "1312," the first song off the forthcoming records.

Last year, singer David Rodriguez filled the vocal spot vacated by then lone remaining original member Jorge Herrera. His snarling, snotty presence gives "1312" its attitude, while the rest of the group mixes in gang chants, upbeat riffing and bits of melody for that high-energy feeling. Lyrically, the song is a rallying cry against corruption in the police force, embracing the "All Cops Are Bastards" acronym, also known as "1312," which refers to each letter's corresponding place in the alphabet.

"This is a statement very true to our culture, our way of life, 1312 ACAB! We didn’t grow up watching cops walk old ladies across the street, we grew up watching Rodney King get BEAT, not detained and man handled, fucking BEAT," comments Rodriguez. "If normal citizens must pay the price of the 'long arm of the law' they can be held accountable for their actions. Anyone of color can be pulled over for being suspicious? Well we can be suspicious of them! 1312 ACAB. With great power comes great responsibility!"
