The Agonist To Release New Album ‘Eye of Providence’ in November

The Agonist will release their latest album ‘Eye of Providence’ on Nov. 11 via Century Media Records. It will be the Canadian band’s fourth studio album, and first with new vocalist Vicky Psarakis. She replaced Alissa White-Gluz, who is now with Arch Enemy.

You can check out a studio video above that features serious discussions about the album and recording process, but also some more lighthearted moments. You’ll hear Psarakis crooning a brief part of Lionel Richie’s ‘Hello.’ Drummer Simon McKay also somehow finds himself in the vocal booth, and let’s just say he won’t be singing on the album.

Psarakis recently spoke with Rock Overdose about her transition to The Agonist. “It’s a challenge I must admit,” she says. “There’s so much versatility between singing and screaming, especially live, but I’m not worried. The level of difficulty and the faith the guys have shown towards me is a push. I’m inspired to give my 100%. The more we jam and create new music, the more I feel that this is right. That maybe I was born to do it!”

The Agonist have three Canadian concerts beginning July 31 in Toronto before heading to Europe for some shows and festivals. For their complete calendar, go here.
