<p>A Deadspin reader <a href="http://deadspin.com/5837279/there-was-a-guy-with-a-sock-in-his-mouth-at-the-us-open-this-afternoon" >snapped this photo</a> during Donald Young&#8217;s straight set victory over Juan Ignacio Chela at the Open on Sunday. Other possible reasons for this baffling display would be it&#8217;s some kind of good luck charm for the spectator&#8217;s favored player, or it&#8217;s an ode to former UNLV basketball coach, <a href="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&amp;q=jerry+tarkanian+towel&amp;gs_sm=e&amp;gs_upl=1480l2938l5l3212l6l6l0l2l2l0l166l503l1.3l4l0&amp;bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&amp;biw=1280&amp;bih=899&amp;um=1&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;tbm=isch&amp;source=og&amp;sa=N&amp;tab=wi" >and rabid towel muncher</a>, Jerry Tarkanian.</p>
