Smile Empty Soul recently played an amazing show at the Lucky Mule with Hurt.  Before the show, singer Sean Danielsen called in to the Rock 108 studios, and we talked about their latest album, touring with Hurt, regretting some of his tattoos, and more.

Rock bands covering songs by other acts is not really out of the ordinary, but something that doesn't happen everyday is a pair of rock bands teaming up on a cover. That was the case recently for hard rocking outfits Hurt and Smile Empty Soul, who found themselves spending a November day in Michigan covering the Alice in Chains classic 'No Excuses.'

The Rock 108 Holiday Hoedown is set for December 6th featuring Hurt. Easily, one of the best live bands you will ever see, Hurt are coming to town with Smile Empty Soul to spread a little holiday cheer and rock your faces off at the Lucky Mule Saloon.

Smile Empty Soul frontman Sean Danielsen recently checked in with Loudwire to talk the band’s nearly 15-year career. With a brand-new album out called ’3′s,’ Danielson opened up about Smile Empty Soul’s sudden success with ‘Bottom of a Bottle’ and ‘Nowhere Kids,’ while describing the frustration of attempting to keep their career at that very high point.
