Slipknot are back on tour, bringing the music, the showmanship and the energy to audiences this summer as part of the Mayhem tour. Loudwire caught up with percussionist Chris Fehn at the opening show of the Mayhem Festival run to discuss the band’s live act and their future music plans, as well as his own personal heroes.
Just when you thought it was safe, Slipknot‘s back with another trailer. However, this one is not to promote the band’s hits collection, ‘Antennas to Hell.’ Rather, it’s a tease for something we don’t quite know about yet.

The 2012 Rockstar Mayhem Festival is officially underway, with Slipknot playing a solid yet shorthanded set as they try to work around the fact that guitarist Jim Root is out of action while recovering from a burst appendix.
Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison recently revealed that he has written 40 potential songs for the band’s upcoming album. With it being Slipknot’s first album since the death of bassist Paul Gray, Jordison also goes into detail about how the record will act as a proverbial exorcism for the band.
Slipknot percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan talks about his disdain for greatest hits albums and why their forthcoming retrospective ‘Antennas to Hell’ is so much more. In his typically candid fashion, Crahan also talks about why temporary bassist Donnie Steele will remain off stage while playing with the band.

Anyone following along with the Slipknot ‘Antennas to Hell’ video teasers could easily guess that keyboardist and sampler Craig “133” Jones, also known as #5, would be up next. The video series recently released their fourth clip with guitarist Jim Root, so guessing that Jones would follow seemed like a foregone conclusion.
