Slash might be branching out into film production, but he's still a rocker at heart -- so it only makes sense that 'Nothing to Fear,' the debut release from his Slasher Films banner, will feature a Slash score.
Slash is one busy rock star. He had a new album come out, is on tour, has a new book coming out next month (October) and between all of that, is making cool videos. Check out his latest animated video for the song 'Bad Rain'.
Actress Lindsay Lohan is in trouble with the law again, thanks to a late-night hit-and-run that left a New York pedestrian with a wounded leg and earned Lohan another trip to the hoosegow on Wednesday (Sept. 19). But if Slash is to be believed, the whole thing is a big misunderstanding.
Today marks a day of reflection for many as we remember the tragic 9/11 attacks in New York, Washington, D.C. and Shanksville, Pa. Amidst terrorism, there were also great acts of heroism with many sacrificing their lives to protect others.
Back in the day, anytime you saw a picture or video of Slash, he usually had a bottle of something and the red-eyed look of a true alcoholic champion. Times have sure changed as these days, as a much cleaner Slash is a big family man.
Earlier this year, Slash talked about how his mother started working as a costume designer for rock legend David Bowie after she split from his father and things took a romantic turn after a period of time. Now the guitar great is offering a few more details on his encounters with the “Thin White Duke” as a youth.
Slash‘s love of animals has given the guitar great a new mission. While on a trip to Australia, he took wildlife warrior Bob Irwin up on an invite, but left the meeting by signing on to aid Irwin’s new conservation initiative.
A day off on tour is something to be savored, just ask the artists that recently wrapped up the 2012 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. While the tour rolled into New England for their Aug. 3 date in Mansfield, Mass., many bands on the tour made the most of the day off before taking in the sights and sounds of Boston.
Slash has moved on with his career, as have many of his former Guns N’ Roses bandmates. Even Guns N’ Roses have moved on, with Axl Rose fronting the group that features a completely different lineup. But still, there are always questions about if a reunion of the original band will ever take place.
Slash has seen and been through a lot in the music industry, and one thing that he’s learned over the years is to follow his own path. The guitarist knows the highs experienced early in his career and he says that he’s decided not to let expectations from the past get the better of him.
