Ever wonder what it would be like to have Red Hot Chili Peppers play your house? Well, you can suspend disbelief for a moment and pretend like they are doing just that when you watch the video for ‘Look Around,’ the latest single off their 2011 album ‘I’m With You.’ The video mimics that idea, with each member getting his own room in the clip, where he is seen playing his instrument and dancing and prancing around maniacally.
It’s no secret that I’m a HUGE fan of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I think the new project “I’m With You” is sheer brilliance from beginning to end. The album never lets up and delivers a cohesive project that stands up together as well as individual tracks. What I’m trying to say is they made an “ALBUM” not just a series of songs. If your a fan of the band you can now keep up with the band with new Android and I-Phone Apps.
Shortly after Red Hot Chili Peppers had to postpone some of their ‘I’m With You’ world tour dates due to Anthony Kiedis’ recent foot surgery, they’ve followed it up with some good news: an additional 16 North American show dates!
Most of us celebrate New Year’s Eve with a few libations, some resolutions and many raised glasses. Red Hot Chili Peppers, on the other hand, will enjoy the copious benefits of being rock stars by performing at Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich’s New Year’s Eve Party. Abramovich’s year-ending (or year-starting, depending on your perspective) bashes are notorious and he plans to make this year better than the last.
When the 2012 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees were announced today (Dec. 7), Red Hot Chili Peppers were among the honorees along with Guns N’ Roses, Beastie Boys and others. RHCP frontman Anthony Kiedis commented on the induction, calling it both emotional and a great sense of achievement.
Last week, Red Hot Chili Peppers announced the initial dates for their North American tour in support of their latest release, ‘I’m With You.’ For fans who didn’t see their city on the list, fret not, the band has just announced 10 new dates.
Fans of the Red Hot Chili Peppers have waited patiently for news about a new North American tour since before the summer release of their 10th album, ‘I’m With You.’ Finally, the first half-dozen dates have been announced.
Red Hot Chili Peppers are transformed into graphic novel characters in the visually arresting video for ‘Monarchy of Roses,’ the second single off the band’s latest album ‘I’m With You.’ The vid, directed by Marc Klasfeld, is all black and white, with the only splash of color coming from the roses mentioned in the title, all of which fly around on the screen.
The new Red Hot Chili Peppers album, “I’m With You,” delivers on any number of levels, but most importantly as an “album.” It’s a cohesive bunch of songs, that while they do not carry a consistent theme, carry a consistent sound.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers will celebrate the release of their 10th studio album, “I’m With You,” by beaming a concert in Cologne, Germany on the day of the album’s release, August 30th, into movie theatres around the world...
