Ministry Announce Release Plans for 13th Studio Album 'From Beer to Eternity'

Ministry have just announced the release of their 13th studio album, 'From Beer to Eternity.' Al Jourgensen has called many Ministry albums the last one the band would ever release, but 'From Beer to Eternity' may very well be their last, as it will be the final Ministry full-length to feature guitarist Mike Scaccia, who passed away last year.

The death of Ministry guitarist Mike Scaccia hit the metal community like a brick to the face last year, as Scaccia succumbed from heart failure after collapsing onstage while performing with his other band, Rigor Mortis. Although the news was tragic for his fans, it was infinitely more heartbreaking for Ministry frontman Al Jourgensen, who has just announced that due to his best friend's death, Ministry's next album, 'From Beer to Eternity,' will undoubtedly be the band's last.

Ministry and Rigor Mortis guitarist Mike Scaccia has died at the age of 47 after collapsing onstage at a performance in Fort Worth, Texas, on Saturday night (Dec. 22). The musician had been performing with thrash metal veterans Rigor Mortis at the Rail Club when he suddenly fell to the ground after suffering a heart attack. Classic Rock magazine reports that one of the band's members returned to the address the crowd, stating only, "It doesn't look good." Scaccia was rushed to the hospital, but passed away soon after.
