West Texas Native Ryan Tannehill Plays Better in 2nd NFL Start for Miami Dolphins, Beats Oakland Raiders 35-13

After last week's tough 30-10 loss to the Houston Texans in his NFL debut, quarterback Ryan Tannehill stood at the podium, in front of a room full of reporters, asking the Miami Dolphins 1st round draft pick various questions regarding his (and his team's) horrible performance. The Big Spring, Texas native handled the tough questions like a champ, and kept a positive outlook heading into week 2 against the Oakland Raiders. Th e positive attitude paid off, and the result was a 35-13 whipping of the Raiders, and a week of firsts for Tannehill.

Miami Dolphins Fire Head Coach Tony Sparano

Well, Todd Haley isn’t the only coach looking for work now.

The Miami Dolphins also fired their head coach, announcing that Tony Sparano (not to be confused with Tony Soprano) is being replaced by defensive backs coach Todd Bowles for the team’s remaining three games this season. The Dolphins sit at 4-9 after starting the season 0-7. In total, Sparano was 29-32 with Miami in his four years there.
