The Big 4 stopped by Yankee Stadium for a show earlier this month. So the fine folks in Metallica decided to make a mini-documentary about the whole thing and you can see it for free! So I dug it up off the interweb thingy and popped it right here for all too see.
There’s no mistaking Metallica‘s thick guitar attack and Lou Reed‘s spoken, attitude-driven vocals in ‘The View,’ a 38-second sample of which can be heard now online in advance of their joint album, ‘Lulu.’
Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine has had his issues with Metallica since being ousted from the band nearly 30 years ago, but he’s apparently settled them because Megadeth and Metallica are on the bill of a series of shows, and a collaboration may be in the works.

Aside from their shared love of the color black, Lou Reed and Metallica don’t have much in common – Metallica are heavy metal heroes, and Reed is the unofficial poet laureate of New York. Despite the differences, the band and Reed have announced yesterday they’ve recorded an album together.
Reed told Ultimate Classic Rock all it took was one concert to bring them together.
A 25th anniversary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame performance in 2009 found Metallica backing up Reed for a couple of songs. “We knew from then,” Reed told David Fricke of Rolling Stone, who broke the news, “that we were made for each other.”
Yeppers. Metallica have their own version of Monopoly coming out. You can expect the playing spaces and cards to have Metallica influenced names. According to the official Metallica store the game will be available next week
I'm sure on paper this looked like a "dream team". Put Star Wars together with Metallica and you have a "rockin' spectacular". Uh no, you have a giant flabby wiener of a production that sucks harder than a Dyson 360
April 25, 2011 Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax played together for the very first time on U.S. soil this last Saturday (April 23) with a show in Indio, California. I'm still a little pissed off that this show won't be coming anywhere close to here - at least for now. However, here is a gallery of images from that show and at least we can all visualize what might have been.
