August 22, 2012 No disrespect to Howard Jones, but ever since I heard that Killswitch Engage brought back their original singer, Jesse Leach, I've been really pumped up to hear the new stuff with Jesse singing. The band is in the process of putting a new album together, but one song has been leaked onto the web.
We know that Jesse Leach gives an intense performance when onstage with Killswitch Engage but behind the scenes he is a master interviewer as his alter-ego ‘Salty Rizz,’ who recently asked tough and very funny questions to his tour mates on the Trespass America Festival.
Killswitch Engage vocalist Jesse Leach was the guest on Full Metal Jackie’s radio show this past weekend. Leach spoke about the coming back into the fold with the band, working on the next Killswitch album and the Trespass America tour this summer. Confirming an earlier report, Killswitch Engage have replaced recently departed singer Howard Jones by turning to a familiar face (and voice): original vocalist Jesse Leach.
After much speculation and rumor, Killswitch Engage have re-enlisted their original frontman Jesse Leach as their singer following the recent departure of vocalist Howard Jones. The news was simply broken by a photo of the lineup on the band’s official website.
With all the attention that has built up around Killswitch Engage in the last five days, fans are foaming at the mouth to learn who may become the next vocalist for the metalcore band. Turns out one of those very fans could become the next KsE frontman, as the band is now accepting audition tapes.
Two days ago (Jan, 4), Killswitch Engage announced that they had parted ways with vocalist Howard Jones. The announcement came as a shock to many due to the spotlight Jones’ voice was able to put on the band, but now Jones has released the reasoning for the departure via the official Killswitch Engage website.
Killswitch Engage, the Grammy-nominated metalcore force of the 2000s has just announced the departure of vocalist Howard Jones. The powerful voice behind songs such as ‘Rose of Sharyn’ and ‘The End of Heartache’ will be off to pursue different goals outside of the band.
February 18, 2011 Killswitch Engage is a bad ass band, but there is much debate about who the best singer is/was. Jesse Leach or Howard Jones? Man, that is a tough call.
