Last weekend, Jack White performed at the 2012 Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival in San Francisco, Calif. In addition to his headlining performance on the final day of the three-day festival (Aug. 12), White also delivered a surprise set in the woods for fans.

There’s always been something inscrutable about Jack White. From his outfits to his occasionally oblique lyrics, it has often been very difficult to feel like he’s showing sides of himself. However, in a new interview, he opens up about how he struggled with the public’s expectations as he rose to fame as a member of the White Stripes.
For a sneak peek trailer of a video, there sure is a lot going on. But would you expect any less when Jack White hires Hype Williams to helm the clip for his ‘Freedom At 21′ single? The living indie legend and the legendary hip-hop video director who lives up to his first name have never worked together before, but that doesn’t mean it’s not going to be a sweet collaboration. From the looks of the clip, it will mos definitely live up to any hype that it gets.
It’s probably no surprise that Jack White prefers vinyl to digital. In fact, the rocker just elaborated on his feelings about the very different music formats in a video interview with the BBC, in which he bemoaned the lack of “romance” with digital music.
Jack White is having a lot of fun with this whole Guinness Book of World Records chase. After Guinness stopped recognizing his one-note concert with the White Stripes as the shortest concert in history, White claimed he was going for a new record: most metaphors in one concert. But that effort ended in disqualification when White “trivialized a metaphor by saying it too quickly.”
Jack White, the hardest working man in show business (slight pause, as we pay respect to James Brown), has announced a string of U.S. and U.K. tour dates in conjunction with his forthcoming debut solo album, ‘Blunderbuss.’ That’s the good news. The bad news is that he will only be in the States for two weeks.
This could end up as the oddest musical pairing of 2011 — or at the very least, the oddest song of the year.
Former White Stripes leader Jack White has joined forces with the Insane Clown Posse to produce the rap duo’s new single, ‘Leck Mich Im Arsch,’ a supposed Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart song with a title that translates in English to ‘Lick Me in the Arse.’
This is absolutely the worst idea I have ever heard. And I don’t mean that just because I think the concept is stupid. That concept comes to us from the guy some people believe to be a musical genius. For everyone who has ever said that about Mr. White please publicly proclaim your idiocy immediately. What exactly is the offending concept of which I speak? Jack White has produced a new single, which is essentially just a mash-up, of Insane Clown Posse and Mozart. Go ahead and read that again, I’ll wait…
