From dogs dressed as Darth Vaderto Elvis kitties, we can’t stop stuffing our four-legged friends into Halloween attire each October. Dog and cat costume parades are more popular than ever, and everyone from major pet supply companies like Petco to mom-and-pop Etsy dealers make a mint on adorable animal outfits. (Our pets, on the other hand, become more indignant with each passing fall).
I know, I know, I need another horse like I need another hole in my head, but there's something special about this guy... His name is Captain Crane and he's an 8 year old Thoroughbred straight off the track.
Horses are funny creatures. Tthey’re totally into Skrillex hair and crazy hats. And don't even get us started on Mr. Ed. Even without talking, horses still crack us up, which is good, because horses can't actually talk. They can wear a ridiculous horse grin though.
Those "Gentle Giants" more commonly known as the "Budweiser Clydesdales" are coming to Abilene to the Western Heritage Classic May 9-11, at the Taylor County Expo Center. The best place for West Texans to get their first view of the famed Budweiser Clydesdales will be at the 'Western Heritage Parade' at 6:30 p.m. on May 9th as they pull the Budweiser wagon through the streets o
So far America has been spared in the horsemeat scandal that began in Ireland last month. Which is good news for all of us who never developed a taste for Mr. Ed.
We already know horses are prone to some pretty funny stuff, like Skrillex hair and semi embarrassing Halloween costumes. As our luck would have it, this is only one part of their entertaining shenanigans.
Like they typically do, Budweiser will be featuring their famous Clydesdales in one of their 2013 Super Bowl commercials. We're still not quite sure what they signify. (Budweiser: so good even a giant horse will drink it?)
If there's one thing you need to know about us here at TheFW, it's that we love to find any excuse to dress up animals. This is especially true during the holiday season, because festive puppies and cats are like, the best things ever.
Between dogs dressed as Miss Piggy and Big Bird looking for work this Halloween season, we figured why not cram our other animal friends into fashionable Halloween get-ups as well? Sure, you're more likely to find a dog parade or a cat fashion show rather than a horse and/or seeing eye pony pageant. But, hey -- farmers and the children of the independently wealthy need Halloween love too right?

Attention, stable owners: The next time you’re trying to breed a particularly recalcitrant stud and mare, heed the advice of Coldplay singer Chris Martin.
