Black Keys, Flaming Lips Touring This Spring

The Black Keys and the Flaming Lips will join forces for a brief but all-powerful spate of dates this spring. Both bands are already touring separately, and their paths will converge on April 28 and remain as such through May 3. It's not enough to label it an actual "tour," but that's semantics. All that matters is that they will grace the same stages.

Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney has announced that the band is boycotting Russia by refusing to ever play there in the wake of Friday’s guilty verdict for three members of Pussy Riot. A two-year sentence was handed down for the members of the controversial Russian feminist punk band on charges of hooliganism after performing a “punk prayer” in protest of Russian Vladimir Putin in February at a Russian church.
