Rain delays during a baseball game can last a few minutes to eternity and a forced canceling of the game. You never really know how long that might be so you try to just wait it out. However, what do you do to kill time while you're waiting for the rain to pass? It's a little strange to lose a body part. But that's what happened to St. Louis Cardinals ace Chris Carpenter when surgeons removed one of his ribs in an attempt to alleviate pressure that was running up his pitching arm.

Clint Eastwood told reporters in 2008 that ‘Gran Torino’ was “probably” his last on-screen appearance as he was preparing to retire from acting.

Now it looks like that isn’t the case. According to Entertainment Weekly the 81-year-old is currently in talks to star in the baseball drama ‘Trouble With the Curve’ as a veteran scout losing his vision.

Seriously, are we kids here? At an MLB game the other day a foul ball landed in a trash can and an older, probably 60 or so, guy goes to get it. He is CLEARLY digging through the trash can about 30 full seconds before the other fan even shows up. When the other fan does show up he goes for the ball and the two argue over it.
