They call their music 'Red Dirt Rock' and this bunch of local outlaws will take that 'red dirt rock' to the tallest stage in Texas this Saturday night. Aces Over Eights has put in a bunch of blood, sweat and tears and now that hard work comes to fruition at their 'Bleeding the Truth' CD release party at Little Texas.
Aces Over Eights were the very first band I ever had on Local Licks Live, so it was a great pleasure having them back on the show. The first time it was just Nathan and Dan, but this time we had the full band, adding in Bobby and Ryan.
I'm all about our crop of talent we have here in West Texas and since it costs lots of money to get into the studio to record an album, I decided to give them an outlet for their music for free. Rock 108's "Local Licks Live" features the great area musicians we have here. Some rock hard, some rock with a little twang, some throw down in a variety of ways...but they all kick ass in my boo
