Suicide Silence Reveal They Will Continue With New Mystery Vocalist

Nearly one year after Suicide Silence vocalist Mitch Lucker passed away, the band has confirmed that they will continue on with a new member behind the mic. Rumors have been spreading about who the new vocalist would be, and now Suicide Silence have offered a clue with a recording of ‘You Only Live Once’ featuring the mystery singer.

On Halloween night 2012, Mitch Lucker, 28, crashed his motorcycle in Huntington Beach, Calif. Lucker was rushed to the hospital, but was pronounced dead on Nov. 1 at 6:17AM PST. Lucker had been drinking alcohol before he began his last ride, as attested by his widow Jolie Carmadella at a candlelight vigil held in memoriam for Lucker.

Suicide Silence fans were left without a singer, unsure if the deathcore frontrunners could continue without the charismatic vocalist. However, Suicide Silence posted the following message on their Facebook page last night (Oct. 2):

Suicide Silence Will Continue…

Attached to the Facebook post is a new clip from the band featuring a currently-anonymous new vocalist. Rumors have been circulating online that All Shall Perish vocalist Eddie Hermida has taken Lucker’s vacant spot, but we cannot yet confirm those claims.

[Update: Suicide Silence have officially announced Eddie Hermida as their new vocalist. Read about all the details here.]
