‘Stop the Violence’ Rally Brings Awareness to Domestic Violence Saturday, October 13th at Taylor County Expo Center
I met a woman yesterday afternoon that brought this event to my attention. She is a victim of domestic violence. She ended up in the hospital with a broken jaw. She finally got out of the situation and the man who did it is now where he belongs; behind bars.
I was amazed by her openness about the situation. So many women (and men) try to hide it from everyone. I think it gives you strength to talk about it and that's what I saw in this woman; she was reclaiming herself!
