Last week, ‘Star Wars: The Old Republic’ developer BioWare revealed that it would be showering loyal players with a plethora of goodies, including a free month of play for its most dedicated devotees. The developer drew the line between the worthy Jedi masters and unworthy Padawan Learners at level 50. Anyone above the benchmark was qualified for the goods, but those below it were left out in the cold.

The internet was less than pleased with the resolution, with angry sub-50 ‘Old Republic’ players complaining en masse on forums. BioWare, which recently buckled to fanboy rage by vowing to release free extended endings for ‘Mass Effect 3,’ gave in again, tweaking its level minimums to allow more people to partake of the free month of play.

Players can now get freebies by nailing Legacy Level 6. If you don’t know what that is, you probably won’t qualify. But just to be thorough, that means you’ll need to either get a pair of characters to levels 42 and 45, get three to 32, 32 and 45 or get several characters into the 20s and mid-30s.

Bottom line: You need to have spent so many hours playing the game that had you used that time to partake in actual training, you may well have been a real-life Jedi by now.
