NBC's buzzy musical drama 'Smash' will have quite a few critics to face in its second season, after a first season eagerly anticipated by viewers became quickly marred by absurd plot twists, and a number of poorly-received characters.  Now, with the series having undergone something of a renaissance with a modified cast and a slew of celebrity guest stars, the network has released a super-sized trailer in advance of the February 5 debut, so how would you like a first look?  Are you ready to get 'Smash'ed again?

With 'Smash' fans eagerly awaiting the February 5 premiere of the re-vamped second season, NBC has released a full four-minute trailer for the upcoming musical drama via Yahoo, chock full of new twists, turns, old and new faces alike.

Will "Bombshell" finally make it to the Great White Way?  Will Karen find new love after Dev?  Just how many celebrities can we cram into one preview?  Don't get us wrong, we're optimistic about the second season of the NBC series, but let's just say we've been burned before.

Recently casting Liza Minnelli as herself, ‘Smash’ season 2 also includes ‘Rent’ stars Jesse L. Martin and Daphne Rubin-Vega, Bernadette Peters, ‘Hairspray’s Nikki Blonsky, Debra Messing’s former ‘Will & Grace’ star Sean Hayes, Krysta Rodriguez as Karen’s new roommate Ana,  Andy Mientus, ‘Newsies’ star Jeremy Jordan, and ‘American Idol’ vet Jennifer Hudson.  As previously reported, season 2 will also see the departure of show-runner and creator Theresa Rebeck, with former ‘Gossip Girl‘ EP Josh Safran stepping in.

Take a look at the giant-size trailer below, and give us your 'Smash' season 2 predictions in the comments!
