It's a big day for Slipknot, and not just because it's Halloween. The band laid the first piece of new music since 2014's .5 The Gray Chapter album on their fans with the new song "All Out Life." While the track debuted on Zane Lowe's World Record Show on Apple Music's Beats 1, it wasn't long before there was a visual complement courtesy of Slipknot's own Shawn "Clown" Crahan.

The percussionist directed the explosive "All Out Life" video, which can be seen in the player above, in which the skin-faced masses chaotically rush an abandoned hangar, mosh, fall and eventually rise again while being sprayed with a blood-colored substance.

Singer Corey Taylor has elaborated on the track, explaining, “'All Out Life’ is a song that is trying to do two things: bring everyone together, but also remind everyone that the past is not something to be discarded with disdain. People are so eager to find the Next Big Thing sometimes that they shit all over the bands and artists that have come before, thus making the past feel disposable, like a dirty thing. Fuck that: why should we pay attention to your mediocre future when you can’t be bothered to celebrate an amazing past? I’d rather listen to a guaranteed hit than a forced miss. ‘All Out Life’ is the anthem that reminds people that it’s not the date on the music -- it’s the staying power."

Crahan added, "Right now is a very exciting time for Slipknot. We’ve been working on new music for the last two years, and ‘All Out Life,’ the song and the video, is just one of many concepts in the works. It’s a fitting taste to get you to the next thing. Get ready for what’s to come. We challenge you to 'All Out Life.'"

"All Out Life" is just the start of what is expected to be an exciting cycle for the band, with a new album expected to arrive in 2019. The band has also begun announcing tour dates and you can keep up with their touring here.
