Slaves Vocalist Jonny Craig Reportedly Arrested, Then Let Go After Show in Arizona [Update]

Update: Slaves have commented on the arrest of singer Jonny Craig, revealing that the vocalist has now been released and all charges have been dropped. The band offered a full explanation of what led to the arrest, which can be read in the statement below:

About last night.......
To confirm the rumors, Jonny Craig was arrested last night in Scottsdale Az.
As Slaves were performing on stage, an altercation was transpiring backstage between members of the band Ghost Town causing the venue to call the authorities. While police arrived, the bands set was hastily shut down 30 minutes early by cutting off all microphones on stage.
Unaware of what was happening (along with the fans), Jonny “dropped the mic” and damaged a few microphones (approximately $60 dollars worth of damages, which were paid for by the band). In response, the police handcuffed and arrested Jonny for criminal damage. This was obviously an excessive use of force (realized later), resulting in all charges to be dropped and Jonny to be immediately released.

This was likely not the way Slaves saw their night ending in Scottsdale, Ariz. The band performed last evening (March 12) at the Pub Rock Live while on tour with Ghost Town and Dayshell, but singer Jonny Craig's night came to an end with the vocalist being taken away by police in handcuffs.

According to fan accounts, the venue was cutting the sets short and there were a number of instances of fans and musicians being ejected from the venue for undisclosed reasons. Lambgoat reported that Craig had allegedly damaged some of the venue's equipment and was arrested on charges of criminal damage. He's currently awaiting arraignment.

As seen in the fan posted video, Craig was led away from the venue by authorities with several of the fans voicing their show of support for the singer.

Craig has often been surrounded by drama during his time with an assortment of bands. His resume includes stints with Dance Gavin Dance, Emarosa and Isles & Glaciers before joining Slaves in 2014. In 2011, the singer was accused by fans of running an Internet scam selling used computers and not following through with the product. The singer eventually entered a treatment center for addiction issues.
