Slash with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators have landed at No. 1 song on the active rock radio chart with ‘You’re A Lie,’ the first single from ‘Apocalyptic Love.’

Slash is no stranger to having No. 1 songs. In fact, he had done so a number of times with Guns N’ Roses and, more recently, Velvet Revolver. This latest achievement is an especially noteworthy achievement for the top-hatted one, in that he had never done so under the umbrella of his solo career.

‘You’re a Lie,’ the lead single from Slash’s sophomore solo release, overtook Linkin Park‘s ‘Burn It Down’ for the No. 1 spot this week. This marks the second consecutive release with a No. 1 single for Slash’s sole vocalist on this outing, Myles Kennedy. The Alter Bridge vocalist also sat atop the active rock charts with that band’s single ‘Isolation’ from their 2010 release ‘AB III.’

‘Apocalyptic Love’ entered the Billboard 200 albums chart at No. 4 on the week of its release, making it the highest charting rock album for that week. Slash with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators are currently gearing up for a North American tour behind the album, which kicks off July 7 in Portland, Ore. The guitarist is currently lending his axe-grinding skills to the Ozzy and Friends tour on select dates overseas.

Outside of his solo career, Slash and the members of Velvet Revolver are still seeking a new frontman to replace Scott Weiland as the band’s vocalist, despite the singer’s claims that he is back in the band. Myles Kennedy has a solo album lying in wait and will also reconvene with the members of Alter Bridge to work on their next release, following the conclusion of their work on Creed‘s new album.
