With a little over a month to go before Slash unleashes his ‘Apocalyptic Love‘ on the world, he’s cranking up the promotional machine in earnest — and last night (April 10), that meant showing up on the big stage at ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ to perform a couple of songs, including his new single ‘You’re a Lie.’

Appearing with his band, Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, Slash kicked off the evening’s festivities by performing ‘Lie,’ which is currently gobbling up adds on rock station playlists. But the band wasn’t finished; as part of what a press release referred to as a “mini-concert,” they ran through ‘Back from Cali,’ from Slash’s 2010 self-titled solo record, as the ‘Kimmel’ show aired its closing credits (check out the full performances of both songs below).

It’s all part of a busy week for Slash, who should be in attendance on Saturday when his old band Guns N’ Roses are honored with an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. (Maybe you’ve heard about this before.) After that, it’s back to the promotional grind for Slash, who’s due to release ‘Apocalyptic Love’ on May 22 — and support it with a lengthy series of tour dates that will take him across the country and around the world.
