Daredevil Gives Birth to the Sport of ‘Skyaking’
What’s ‘skyaking’ you ask? It’s skydiving — but in a kayak. It’s the bizarre creation of daredevil Miles Daisher, who turns the extreme sport skydiving on its head, under and all around, as he jumps out of a plane in equipment normally used only in water.
Check out the video of Daisher paddling across the sky, 13,000 feet up in the air in a kayak.
“Is it a bird? Is it a plane?” No, it’s a kayak. The crazy 40-year-old Idaho native swooped in at 50mph and landed on the water, giving the kayak a touch of where it truly belongs. In the crazy world of Red Bull-sponsored extreme sports, things can’t get anymore extreme (and bizarre) than ‘skyaking’.
