This incident in McKinney has everybody talking. I understand both sides and it's great proof that different people can see the same video and come to different conclusions. What I don't get is how it's being politicized.

I'm now seeing posts with stuff like "here's the stuff the liberal media didn't show you" or whatever. What does someones politics have to do with whether a cop was out of line or not? I don't get the connection. In fact it's a popular conservative view that we should be armed in case we have to face down "government stormtroopers", so why would it be a conservative thing to support over aggressive cops? Isn't that just 100% the opposite of what they stand for?  I'm not coming down on conservatives either, I'm just laying out what I'm seeing out there and who knows what their motivations are when they try to tell a different version of events.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the minute you use the terms "liberal" or "conservative" the whole world knows what you're going to say and what you're about. You are no longer a person with an opinion, you're just a vote for whatever side you're on.  Let's all dump and completely reject these labels. We're not here to support a side, we're here to support each other.
