Waking up to the Buzz Adams Morning Show is a little like waking up in your favorite bar, without the accompanying hangover or discovery of the penis drawn on your face while you were passed out. Whether it’s weird news, sports, movies, TV, politics or pop culture, Buzz, Fernie and Brandon will make your snooze button obsolete with their takes and smart-assery on whatever subject they’re tackling.
Meet the Cast:
Buzz Adams is the show’s quarterback. Or dictator. He was born with a golden voice that could tempt the Devil himself. The show is Buzz’s personal rodeo, and everything he says is 100 percent right …except for the times he CHOOSES to be wrong. He’s originally from Oklahoma, but has been a Lone Star State resident long enough for us to forgive him.
Show Producer Brandon Coates (his friends call him Goat) is a man of simple pleasures who enjoys a good beer, video games, the love of his dog, and the touch of a fine woman. He can hold his own in a round of trivia, especially if the questions involve Star Wars, Seinfeld or The Simpsons. He’s seen more horror movies than you.
Lisa Sanchez may be made entirely out of snark. The tests haven’t come back yet. A death metal and hard rock devotee who is also convinced that Slash is in love with her, this is Lisa’s second go-round on the show. They haven’t devised a concert yet that Lisa can’t get into, and the numbers in her phone would make TMZ drool.
Joanna Barba(coa) is the quiet kid in the back of the class that maybe you don’t notice until she speaks up, and then you realize she is a freak. But in a good way. Joanna is in her 20s and doesn’t drive a car — because she’s never learned how. She has a penchant for male go-go dancers and often surprises people with really dark humor. She might steal your wallet.
The wit, wisdom, warmth and slight perversion spewing forth from the Buzz Adams studio is no longer confined to El Paso and the KLAQ airwaves, but has infiltrated other great Texas rock stations. The Buzz Adams Morning Show airs from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. on KLAQ in El Paso; 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. on KEYJ in Abilene, KBAT in Midland-Odessa, and on KNRX in San Angelo.
As always, you can hear the show anywhere worldwide through streaming on the website, or the free KLAQ Mobile App or live weekdays on the Q Cam.
