Sheryl Crow has revealed that she has a brain tumor, but it’s not something she’s that concerned about. The vocalist tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal that it’s benign.

The 50-year-old vocalist explains that she had been having some memory issues, something that affects many people as they get older, and went to get it checked out. She explains, “I went and got an MRI and I found out I have a brain tumor. And I was like, ‘See?’ I knew there was something wrong.’”

Crow says she learned of the tumor back in November, but has not publicly spoken about it until now. The singer says it does give her some fits, and revealed that she recently forgot part of her hit song ‘Soak Up the Sun’ onstage. But she adds that this isn’t the first time that’s happened, and it may not be related to the tumor.

Even with the tumor, she’s not really slowing down. Crow is currently working with director Barry Levinson on a musical version of his 1982 film ‘Diner,’ and she’s started writing and recording for her next album. She says that it could be ready by October, but first she has to line up a new record deal after completing her recent contract.
