The Taylor County Sheriffs Office will benefit from the grand opening of the restaurant located in the Lowes parking lot at 4134 Ridgemont Drive. One of the restaurant's owners, Ruth Musgrave told me that all of the money made during the grand opening  of Moe's Southwest Grill Thursday, will be donated directly to the Taylor County Sheriffs office for a new K-9. With only one stipulation.

The Taylor County Sheriffs office only has one K-9 unit now, but they'd like to get another. According to Musgrave, the only stipulation is, they would like the new dog to be named "Moe" if possible.

Sheriff Ricky Bishop says that the K-9 unit they have now, is not a "bite-dog" meaning it won't chase down bad guys and chew on them. However Sheriff  Bishop says "having another drug/tracking dog would certainly be a plus for the Sheriffs office."

You are invited to attend the grand opening Thursday Dec. 18th and what ever your ticket total is, is what you pay or you can give more because all money will go directly to our Sheriffs office. Moe's Southwest Grill specializes in southwest/Mexican foods. They open at 11AM Thursday and will operate until 9PM. Ruth says, "Come Hungry!"
