There's one of those little Facebook challenges making the rounds. It's something to the effect of posting a different song of the day for seven days.  This is an idea I can get behind. In fact, I'll give you MY seven videos.

I don't know if the list is supposed to be seven all time favorites, seven you can't get enough of right now, or what. The original post said something about "seven pearls", so I'm assuming it meant slightly out of the ordinary tracks. So with that in mind, I'm going to go with seven songs I can listen to over and over and not get tired of. It's a pretty eclectic list. Maybe you'll find something on here you can enjoy.

    Monday-Monster Magnet "Gods And Punks"

Some people aren't into sci-fi. Some people can't handle it mixed with their music. Monster Magnet mixes powerful imagery with kick ass riffs and I'm a huge fan. For my money this is is one of the most powerful songs ever. If I ever had to punch my way through a brick wall, this is the song I want playing in the background.

    Tuesday-Prince "Purple Rain"

I wish this song wasn't saturated in dated 80's production. That's the problem, it sounds too much like the era that it came from. Sorry about this version, but Prince doesn't allow his regular stuff on YouTube.

    Wednesday-David Bowie "Changes"

For about three decades I always said this is the song I want played at my funeral. I no longer want or believe in funerals. I still find the power in this song every time I hear it.

    Thursday-The Clash "London Calling"

This has always been one of my favorites. It's always been weird because I felt like it was written for the people of the U.K. but the energy has always jumped out at me like crazy. This one makes me want to stomp my boots.

Friday-The Mighty Mighty Bosstones "The Impression That I Get"

If you've ever heard the RockShow on a Friday, you know this is our theme music. It's so full of hope and energy while having a bit of tragedy in the background. This song always pumps me up.

    Saturday-Stone Sour "Made Of Scars"

I've always related to this more than any other Slipknot or Stone Sour song. I can't even tell you how deep this song hits me. This song IS me. I am defined by, and have been changed by pain more than love, religion or anything else. Thank you Corey Taylor.

    The Beach Boys-God Only Knows

I think everybody's list should have one song that you're almost embarrassed to put up. I'm going to say hell with it and be real. This song almost makes me tear up.  Now, the second part of this is, as many of you know I'm an atheist.  That's cool, the song and the sentiment are so strong that it transcends the religious reference for me. I did put it on as Sundays song for you believers though.
